Mumbai:
A 3-year-old boy was kidnapped from Wadala in Central Mumbai allegedly by a lady and her male buddy for promoting him for Rs 2 lakh to unidentified individuals in adjoining Thane district, a police official mentioned on Tuesday.
The boy was later deserted by the girl and handed over to the police by two males identified to her, he mentioned.
The girl, Sanika Waghmare (19), and her male buddy Pawan Pokharkar (20), each residents of Wadala who failed of their efforts to promote the boy, have been arrested, mentioned the official.
The incident occurred on Monday afternoon when the boy was taking part in in a floor exterior his residence.
Waghmare kidnapped the kid on instigation of her male buddy, who had requested her to kidnap a boy beneath 10 years of age for promoting him for Rs 2 lakh, mentioned the official.
After abducting the boy, Waghmare and Pokharkar employed a cab and went to Kalyan city in Thane district to finalise a take care of individuals not recognized but, however returned with the kid to Wadala because the settlement didn’t work out, he mentioned.
Afterwards, she handed over the boy close to a bus cease to 2 males identified to her, mentioned the official, including as instructed by Waghmare, the duo took the kid to a police station in Wadala.
Police then known as the girl and her male buddy and after interrogation, positioned them beneath arrest, he mentioned.
